The 9th Class Smart Syllabus 2025 – 2026 Punjab Boards (BISE Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Multan, etc.) is officially called the Accelerated Learning Program (ALP).

It is a rationalised, cut down curriculum that has been required by the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB) and the Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority (PECTAA). The aim is to concentrate on Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs), and fundamental conceptual knowledge in the process of reducing the content load.

Facts of 9th Class Smart Syllabus 2025 – 2026

The smart syllabus has a number of big changes:

  • The ALP will indicate key issues and activities in each subject, omitting other material to cover all the subjects and optimize syllabus
  • The curriculum is designed in such a way that it has measurable learning outcomes and the students are able to learn the most essential concepts that they need in the 10th class and onwards.
  • Reduced content and new examination structure have resulted in revised pairing schemes, model papers and pattern of paper.
  • The syllabus and textbooks are laid in accordance to the Single National Curriculum (SNC) model, which has resulted in the updated material in the several subjects, particularly in Science and Computer Science.

New Compulsory Subject

Tarjama-tul-Quran is presented as a new mandatory course of all 9th class students. Its syllabus is concentrated on the translation and central Muslim teachings.
